Nutrisystem Weight Loss Review ~ Week 2 #NSNation #spon
Last week I announced that I’m on a journey to lose weight with Nutrisystem. For the next 3 months, I’ll be reporting my results here on Gimmie. For bloggers interested in losing weight, head on over and join Nutrisystem Blogger Nation!
My first week was both easy and hard (is that even possible?) Mornings and afternoons are easy for me. Actually, it seems like there’s more than I’d ever want to eat. More than enough food. No problem! But then at night I get major snack attacks and want to eat, eat, eat! It’s weird because I’m not hungry. I just crave something salty or sweet. Or, a drink. I usually drink wine after dinner, and I think the habit is what’s beckoning me more than anything. I can have unlimited calorie-free drinks, so I grabbed my Skinny Margarita mix and enjoyed that. It gives me a little something to enjoy (it’s alcohol free, and tastes great!) It’s cheap to make too. Check out my recipe in the link!
I’ve come to realize that having a glass of wine sometimes turns into two (or three?!) And, when I have a drink, I almost always find myself foraging for food. I overeat at night and then feel crappy about it. It’s a viscous cycle. A habit that I need to break in order to drop the weight. Alcohol has empty calories too. And all those added calories can cause problems when you’re trying to lose weight.
Conversely, when I don’t have a drink (or drink something non-alcoholic instead), I have no problem skipping the snacks and sticking to just my Nutrisystem snack. I feel great and the weight is coming off like magic!
Since I did Nutrisystem two years ago, a lot has changed. One thing I’m noticing is that the food seems tastier. I’m not sure if it’s different or if I’m different (lol!) but everything so far has been really good! Pictured above: Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza.
