Nutrisystem Weight Loss Review 2015 ~ Week 6 #NSNation #sponsored
In my last update I told you about a bunch of things happening in my life that were dragging me down and interfering with my weight loss.I haven’t been able to focus on eating specific things on this diet. To say I’ve strayed from where I should be is an understatement.

First, my sweet dog died and this tragic loss hit my family really hard. We’ve been moping around. I cry at the drop of a hat. The house feels so big and empty. I keep imagining that I see his tail wagging (as it would whenever I walked by him). Or, I “see” him laying in bed snoozing – only, he’s not really there. Even though he was just a little dog, the void he left when he died is enormous.
Our refrigerator stopped working and a lot of food was ruined. I think we were both so numb from everything happening that this loss seemed very unimportant compared to everything else happening at the time. We put our heads together and figured out what was wrong with the fridge and my husband ordered a replacement part and fixed it! So, thankfully, we did not have to buy a whole new refrigerator (and the part only cost $30). It seemed like it was shutting off for hours (I’m talking like 10-16 hours) at a time. So we figured out that it needed a new defrost timer! Thank goodness it didn’t need a compressor or the main board – which cost hundreds ($600+) of dollars.
I also told you about my husband’s aunt, his mom’s twin sister who was very sick in ICU. She passed away, and my husband made the long trek to be with his mother for the funeral in Texas. When he left, the fridge was sorta working but stopped again. This is the first time I’ve been truly happy that winter allows us to have a very large “walk in refrigerator” in the garage. The whole garage! It’s cold outside, so putting things out to keep them cold when your fridge is broken works pretty darn well. Anyway, I didn’t bother my husband with the news that the fridge had stopped again while he was at the funeral. When he got home we fixed it. And now it’s just a memory (and a pretty good story).
By the way, that was in chronological order (as it happened on the calendar) — not in order of importance or anything. 🙁
I haven’t lost any weight this week, but I keep losing inches! In looking through my free Nutrisystem app, I’ve measured myself a few times over the past two years. I was surprised to see my measurements didn’t really change, despite losing weight. So, losing inches right now is a good thing, and I’ll take it!
Successes
- Still liking the food okay (but I have found a few things I don’t like, such as most of the lunches in a cup and the bean and ham soup)
Struggles
- Managing life, sadness, loss and losing weight; then maintaining a healthy weight for life, while life happens!
Results
- I’ve lost 8.5 lbs so far! No weight loss this week.
- My clothes fit looser and I love that!
