Golden Goddess Costume Review #sponsored
Halloween is my favorite time. It has a way of easing out of summer and into fall with one final “hurrah”. If it wasn’t for pumpkin spice, apple cider and Halloween, I’m pretty sure I would never accept the change in season!
We love all aspects of Halloween, from decorating, to haunted houses, to dressing up! It’s a great time of year to get creative. This year, I spread my Halloween joy — er, horror — by organizing a big social event at my daughter’s school. As the Girl Scout Service Unit Manager, I planned a fun Halloween dance and costume party!
In short: She won the costume contest! 🙂
I love DIY costumes, but I almost always need a little help because I just don’t have the time to make everything myself. Seriously, who has time for that!? Don’t make Halloween too scary! You can do both! Make some of it, and buy some of it. Win-Win!
For example, I made my daughter’s headpiece out of cheap old beads we had and a dangle earring, and she borrowed my necklace which was perfect with the outfit. We splurged on new sandals (a little big so they’ll work next summer), and of course the dress. Oh, the dress.
We received the Golden Goddess costume to review, just in time!
The Golden Goddess costume looked very pretty online. The problem I had is that you can’t actually touch it before you buy. Fortunately, I’ve gotten costumes from Wholesale Costume Club before, and the quality has been very good. I didn’t even give that a second thought this year.
When her Halloween Costume arrived, she couldn’t wait to try it on! You know how sometimes costumes don’t fit right? It seems like they’re always way smaller than the indicated size. Well, that was not the case. It fit great, and was just as pretty in person. Maybe even more so (but that might be a mother’s bias!)
She loved it and so did I!
- It’s gorgeous!
- Convenient online ordering
- Competitive price
- Fast shipping
- Award-winning! 😉
- Sizes are true (size does not run smaller or larger than you’d expect)
- It is very sheer, plan to wear a slip (she wore one of my camisoles which fits her like a slip)
- It’s so sheer it actually unraveled in several places where the material split at the seam, do not plan on wearing this many times
