A few months ago I received an email asking if I’d be interested in testing products and blogging about them. Would I like free products? Have you met me?!
Well, I went on vacation and forgot all about it. When I returned there was a box full of goodies ready for my testing scrutiny.
- Bath Spray (Clean Linen)
- Kitchen Spray (Crisp Apple)
- Bath Gel (Stressless)
- Birthday Cake scented candle
- Sugar Cookie scented candle
- Cinnamon Spice scented candle
- Pumpkin Patch scented candle
First, let me talk about the candles. I like candles a lot. And although I wouldn’t say I’m a big candle person, I have quite a few around the house. I love to light them and fill the house with wonderful scents, especially through the holidays.
For Every Body sent three sizes of candles to review. The small (7 oz) is 3.5″ tall by 2.75″ in diameter. It’s in a glass jar with a cool silver peek-a-boo lid (the middle is see thru). It’s a very nice & contemporary design. It’s called “Birthday cake” and smells like frosting – SO yummy!! Seriously, I’m tempted to taste it but I know that would be all wrong!! There are cute and colorful little confetti bits in it too.
The two medium-size candles (15 oz) are 4.5″ tall by 3.5″ in diameter. They’re both in glass jars with glass lids. They are Sugar Cookie and Cinnamon Spice. Both smell really, really great! I opened the Sugar Cookie jar, and my 4-year old asked me if I was baking cookies!! The sugar cookie candle has little bits of confetti on top, and the cinnamon candle has a chunk of real cinnamon stick embedded in the top of the candle.
And lastly the large candle (22 oz) is 6″ tall by 3.5″ in diameter and is in a glass jar with a glass lid. It’s called “Pumpkin Patch” and smells just like a scrumptious pumpkin pie. It also has bits of confetti on top.
They emit a pleasant scent that carries throughout the whole room, not just when you’re up close to them. I’m one that can’t stand too much fragrance (I get headaches when people wear too much cologne!) There are definitely not overbearing. But they sure smell great!
The two odor absorbing sprays I received are cute little chubby pump spray bottles. I love that they’re not aerosol, because for whatever reason I usually don’t like how those smell. Not to mention how much longer these bottles will last!!
The kitchen version: “crisp apple” isn’t overly fruity but rather a neutral and real apple scent. It’s *very* nice, not overbearing but cuts odors instantly. The bathroom version: “clean linen” is wonderful!! That’s the only “flavor” I buy in aerosol. But this is SO much better. You know that heavy “air freshener” stink? Well somehow these guys left that yuckiness out of their sprays. Not sure how they did it, but it gets an A+ from this sensitive sniffer!
And lastly, the “stressless” bath gel. I had no idea what this would be, but it’s a little tub of white gel stuff that emits a great fresh scent and does something magical with odors. I’m not sure I want to know how it works, but it is intriguing. (lol)
Rather than use it in the bathroom, I decided to put it to the real test. It’s sitting on top of my electronic composter, who we affectionately call Wall-E. Now, don’t get me wrong, Wall-E is a nice enough guy. But he stinks! Even if I have all the right stuff in there to neutralize and balance -he’s electric, he stays warm to speed up the composting process, and he just smells bad. A good day for him means he smells like dirt, and that isn’t something I enjoy having in my home.
The “Stressless” bath gel smells pleasant, not overbearing but nice. And guess what? Wall-E’s odors have magically disappeared. I would NOT have believed it if I hadn’t tried it. But trust me, Wall-E would make any bathroom odors seem like a summer breeze. Did I mention there’s a cat litter box not far from where Wall-E sits? If I didn’t, it’s because I forgot it was there. It doesn’t have that “litter” smell anymore.

NOTE: You are not entering to be a product tester, you’re entering to win one of four $15 gift certificates. Gimmie was chosen to review these candles for our fans partly as a result of the exposure from being voted as a Top Mommy Blog (click here to vote daily to keep these giveaways coming!!) And partly because of lots of hard work that has us ranked in the top 150,000 websites in the world (32,000 in the US). When approached to do this review, I was asked if there would be a charge for reviewing the candles, and instead of being paid, I asked for these gift certificates to give to my fans.
